In this role, you will lead manufacturing process development projects using a high degree of experience and expertise in various or specific fields of manufacturing such as assembly, fabrications, automation, and manufacturing technology.What you can look forward to doing in this role:

Provide technical expertise and guidance in major manufacturing projects, working with internal/external suppliers to support/improve manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness.

Directing other employees through implementing major systems and the coordination of those systems with the total plant.

Directing suppliers to analyze their current or proposed product/process designs to determine feasibility of using existing designs or modifying the designs to improve process and/or product.

Providing guidance and mentoring to manufacturing engineers and operators in order to develop high quality products and processes.

Provides leadership in the implementation of automation and integrated technologies within the factory.

Perform liaison duties with various functional areas to promote smooth transition of new and revised corporate and plant systems and operations.

Be involved with component and prime product facilities to analyze their current or proposed product/process designs to determine feasibility of using existing designs or modifying the designs to improve process and/or product.

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills and have:

Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing : Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

A working knowledge of Manufacturing Change Control : Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively.

A working knowledge of Project Management : Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources for a global team to achieve project objectives.

Extensive experience in Manufacturing Process Design and Development : Knowledge of how to develop or design a manufacturing process; ability to establish and determine which processes and parameters should be opted to improve functionality and costs.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

A significant understanding of product design to combine with process design expertise to provide for improved manufacturability and efficiency of prime products and major components

Significant analytical ability as well as excellent oral and written communications skills

Extensive experience effectively supervising large manufacturing change projects

A degree from an accredited college in a manufacturing discipline

Flexibility in their workflow to be able to pivot as needed for projects
