A senior A/C and refrigeration technician is responsible for inspection, installation, troubleshooting, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment in resorts.Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains the air conditioning and refrigeration systems; conducts regular preventive maintenance inspections of air conditioning and refrigeration units, including walking chillers, freezers, and electrically operated air conditioning equipment; and makes necessary adjustments or repairs.Repairs or replaces defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, electronic controllers, automatic switches, etc.Installs copper tubing and repairs pipes and tubing as necessary; tests joints and insulates pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.Operates a variety of hand and power tools, vacuum pumps, and test equipment in an effective and safe working condition.Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems; repairs or replaces defective parts in units, equipment, and controls.Receives work orders; prepares cost estimates for defect machines and equipment’s and order materials in accordance with established procedures; provides direction to assigned personnel and participates in assigning work; inspects their work.Maintains a variety of records of completed work, logs, and assists in developing specifications for work to be completed.Managing team member performance, ensuring that the department standards are up-to-date and that team members are complying with health, safety, and other rules.
