We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.We are looking for an Experienced Electrical Engineer for our AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) UIC (Utility, Industrial and Construction) department. This role can be Hybrid or fully Remote and will report into our Wendell, NC headquarters.Roles & Responsibilities

Analyze MV switchgear requirements from customers to develop detail design engineering essential for review and manufacture of switchgears.

Prepare electrical drawing packages (including panel arrangements, nameplate schedule, schematic diagrams, communication drawings, three-line diagrams, general arrangement drawings and wiring diagrams) for factory manufacturing of the switchgear and customer documentation using CAD software.

Collaborate with project engineers to develop product solutions that meet customer expectations in a cost-effective and timely manner.

Work directly with the manufacturing teams addressing any challenges as they produce your designs.

Initiate and support product and process improvements by cross function team collaboration.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

3+ years of experience in the design and configuration of electrical power distribution products and systems

Proven understanding of standard protection and control technologies used in medium voltage power distribution products

Ability to analyze technical specifications and apply appropriate product solutions to meet customer expectations efficiently and timely

Proficiency in reading and understanding one-line diagrams and evaluating electrical schematics to identify errors or potential improvements

Ability to multitask and manage full workloads and business demands

Willingness to travel up to 10%, as needed

Must currently reside within the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with a concentration in power systems

Proficiency in creating, converting, and modifying drawings using AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base software

Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for MV switchgear

Experience in electrical design for MV switchgear

Experience with Siemens switchgear

The pay range for this position is $72,400 - $124,100. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
