Local funeral home currently has an opening for a Part-Time Funeral Assistant
This is a part time position that interacts directly with client families and is responsible for creating and maintaining a premier level of client family satisfaction. The funeral assistant will perform a variety of tasks during funerals and visitations to assist funeral directors and help ensure that services run as smoothly as planned.
Some of the duties include
assisting licensed funeral directors with daily funeral service responsibilities,
assisting with funeral services, memorial services, and visitations,
responding to first calls,
answering phones and directing calls to appropriate team members
greeting and receiving client families and others entering the facilities for information and
assistance
maintaining a friendly and pleasant attitude while offering assistance and guidance to all
persons entering the facility.
driving the hearse, limousine, and other funeral vehicles
running errands
out of town trips
This position requires
teamwork and being able to work closely with all team members
attention to detail with everything you do
good written and verbal communication skills
being a self-starter and team player
compassion towards others
ability to lift 75+ pounds
valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record
