About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant in Consumer Lending as part of Cards & Merchant Services. They are building upon their data aggregation capabilities and reshaping how data is used, presented, and consumed by the business. You will partner with key business stakeholders, technology, and data management teams to curate rich data for a variety of use-cases. Leverages proven problem-solving skills and experience in analytics. Manages multiple projects & ad-hoc requests supporting a wide range of business initiatives and should be at ease working directly with business partners to articulate requirements and share results. Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards

Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data

Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed

Give project updates, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews

Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported

Work closely with cross-functional Technology, Product, and Risk teams to drive impact on various initiatives

Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns, and external contractors

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Strong critical thinking skills and ability to drive clarity for credit-risk or operational challenges within financial services, banking, or enterprise environment

Ability to lead and own complex projects and processes from ideation through completion while keeping all stakeholders engaged

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Knowledge and understanding of existing & emerging data platforms and analytic tools (i.e. Python, SQL, SAS, SSAS, PowerBI, Excel, PPT)

Experience telling a story based on data that is intuitive to audiences with diverse backgrounds

Comfortable working independently and with some ambiguity

Prior Merchant Services experience
