We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.As a Software Engineer III, Java AWS Infrastructure at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector as part of the Third-Party Services product, specifically within the Consumer and Community Banking Risk Technology Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job responsibilities

Design, develop, build a rapidly increasing suite of micro services, deploy on cloud-based systems using AWS, ECS, AWS RDS Aurora Postgres, Lambda, EMR, S3.

Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable enterprise application/micro services using Java and Spring Framework.

Work on AWS Cloud services like compute, storage, databases, network, application integration, monitoring & alerting, Identity & Access Management.

Automate Infrastructure-as-code, using Terraform or demonstrate understanding it very clearly.

Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems.

Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes

Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity.

Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience

Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.

Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages including Java, Spring framework, RESTful API's.

Hands-on practical experience using of AWS.

Strong understanding of micro services architecture.

Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.

Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).

Practical cloud native experience specifically on AWS.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-code specifically Terraform.

Hands-on experience working with ECS and Aurora Postgres.

Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.

Familiarity or knowledge of Splunk, Atlassian Tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence)
