Job Description SummaryThe Stability & Radiological Analysis (SRA) Engineer will contribute on the SRA team in performing MCNP analyses for criticality safety and shielding, fluence evaluations, control blade, dose and decay heat analyses technical analyses or plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and other nuclear safety analyses supporting BWR applications Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants operating with GNF fuel.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Perform technical evaluations and provide technical support in the areas of criticality safety and shielding, fluence evaluations, control blade, dose and decay heat analyses technical analyses or plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, and PRNM stability interface.

Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues.

Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables.

Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers.

Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification.

Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university

Experience in nuclear radiological, nuclear safety analysis and methods, or nuclear fuel, core, or plant design.

Desired Characteristics:M.S. or Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university

Experience with BWR technology

Knowledge of plant operational support

Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements

Experience with BWR simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics code (e.g., PANAC, PARCS)

Experience in reactivity control such as reactivity insertion accident, rod withdrawal error, control rod drop accident analyses

Experience with BWR/PWR system codes such as MCNP, TRACG, RELAP, TRACE or equivalent safety analysis system codes

Object-oriented programming experience such as Java, C#, C Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others

The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $77,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
