The gelato shop, Gelarto, will be opening in DECEMBER on the Riverwalk in downtown
Wilmington. We are looking for two full-time and two part-time gelartists. If you enjoy a fun,
relaxing workplace and interacting with locals and tourists alike, this is the place for you.
Job Overview
The gelartist will be responsible for giving our customers an amazing experience and keeping
the gelato shop running smoothly. A great gelartist would greet everyone with a positive
attitude, making sure they are completely satisfied with their visit. A gelartist will also be
responsible for the behind the scenes action. There is potential for the gelartist to move into a
managerial role.
Responsibilities and Duties
â Greet each customer positively and provide them with the best experience.
â Scoop gelato, blend milkshakes, smoothies, and prepare coffee/espresso drinks.
â Ring up customers with a specific POS system and handle cash/cards appropriately.
â Clean used dishes, utensils, etc.
â Clean the cafe, bathrooms, and work areas regularly.
Qualifications
â H.S. diploma required.
â One year in the restaurant/cafe/ice cream industry is required.
â Capable of learning and operating a POS system.
â ServSafe certified is a plus.
â Enjoys serving others and has a positive attitude.
â Able to lift 25 lbs., stand on your feet for an entire shift.
Compensation
$8.5/hour + tips. There is potential for raises, and a managerial role down the road.
