Accellacare is currently looking for volunteers to participate in a research study for endometriosis. Endometriosis is a
disorder in which tissue similar to the inner lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows outside the uterus. This result in
pelvic pain and an irregular menstrual cycle, leading to surgery and tissue biopsy. Complications in the form of cysts,
developing scar tissue and adhesions can arise.
A research study is evaluating an FDA-approved medication for pain associated with endometriosis combined with an oral contraceptive.
This research study may be an option if you:
Have a confirmed diagnosis of endometriosis and are experiencing moderate to severe pain
Are premenopausal
Do not have other causes of chronic pelvic pain (e.g., interstitial cystitis, adenomyosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, irritable bowel syndrome)
Other criteria apply. Qualified participants will receive all study-related care and study medication at no cost.
