Health Advocates Network is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work at a Correctional Institution in Windsor, North Carolina . This is a registry position with our company.40hrs Travel PackageWeekly Gross Pay = $760Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $19Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $1099 (Hotel-686 Meals-413)Total Weekly ($1099 is not taxed)= $1859Feels like per hour = $46.48$1859 div 40 hours = $46.48Shifts Available:

2p-1030p 2nd shift 8 hours

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum one year (12 months) of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

A valid and current LPN license issued by the state of North Carolina.

A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)

Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients. LPN must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written English.

Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away

Job Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Perform routine patient assessments and document findings accurately.

Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and maintain proper documentation of medication administration.

Regularly monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiration rate.

Assist with wound care, dressings, and rehabilitation procedures.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, progress, and assessments using electronic medical records (EMR) or other designated systems.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, registered nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Educate patients and their families about healthcare procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions to promote effective self-management and recovery.

Follow established infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe disposal of medical waste.

Act swiftly and effectively during emergencies, implementing appropriate nursing intervention and alerting the appropriate personnel as necessary.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Maintains compliance and complies with annual requirements

Successfully completes required employment-related documentation, testing, and screenings in a timely manner
