We are a family farm growing and sourcing produce, eggs and meats for local sale to restaurants and individuals. We are hiring multiple positions for the upcoming season. This listing is for an Order Packer. We are seeking a self-motivated, detailed and strong individual to fill orders on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Ideal candidate should have the following qualities:
-ability to lift and carry 40 lbs or more on a regular basis. this is a physical job.
-strong attention to detail
-broad knowledge of vegetables and meat cuts
-great attitude
-reliability
-have reliable transportation
-ability to work alone and kindly with others
-ability to take direction and multitask
-is drug-free
Experience with order fulfillment or warehouse type work preferred but not required.
This may become a year round position for the right individual. There is additional farm work available, including fieldhand labor and driving, so the position may be combined with another farm position to increase hours.
Hours for the Order Packer position are generally 8AM to 4PM Wednesday and Thursdays. There may some slight variability on hours. Most of the work will be done indoors in a large barn. When orders are filled and there is additional time, there will be some cleaning tasks and some post-harvest vegetable washing and packing work. Most of the packing work will revolve around packing vegetable/egg orders, but there are opportunities to pack meat orders as well.
