Hookup Technician Job Description
Work Hours:
Monday-Friday: 8:45-5:30
½ day once per week
Saturday:8:45-12:00
Breaks: (2) 15 minute breaks (can not be taken at the end or beginning of shift)
Lunch: 45 minutes (taken between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm)
Additional Hours as required. Start at 7:00 am on days we receive semi trailers to unload. Days vary.
Work Environment:
Work is performed on the lot and in the service shop.
Work is performed outside in hot and cold weather, rain or shine.
Fast pace environment.
Responsibilities vary at times to ensure all needed tasks are completed.
Job Duties:
Service Technician:
Hookup customers to the trailer they purchase
Sell accessories and other needed equipment for customers purchasing trailers
Help team unload and assemble trailers before opening as needed.
Organize inventory on lot
Diagnose minor trailer and vehicle wiring issues that are identified when hooking up trailers to customers vehicles.
Work with customer service associates, accounting, service technicians and vendors to ensure proper customer service is delivered
Maintenance of facilities, company vehicle and equipment maintenance, scraping sales lot, maintaining lights and bulbs, repairing fence and banners, cleaning and organizing outside facilities and front office area.
Sell accessories and other needed equipment for customers purchasing trailers
Dispose of trash, discarded tires and wheels and scrap metal.
Maintain an organized work space
Assist in unloading trailers and parts received
