Sanitation Manager

Job Summary:            The Sanitation Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improve a comprehensive sanitation program that encompasses team member safety, equipment, infrastructure, and people development in order to ensure safe food for our customers. The Sanitation Manager ensures that the plant is in compliance with all company, state, federal, and local laws, regulations, guidelines, standards, etc. relating to sanitation. Completes documentation and carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies. Job Related Skills/ResponsibilitiesOversee the proper and timely cleaning and sanitation of all processing areas within acceptable levels consistent with company and USDA guidelines.Conduct preoperational inspection on a daily basis with FSQConduct and assist with swab testing of all product and non-product surfaces to control bacteria growth.Complete all necessary paperwork relating to sanitation, which may be required by company’s HACCP plan or USDA. This includes, but is not limited to: nightly sanitation check list, rodent and pest control program, necessary maintenance issues, etc.Create, document, and conduct proper sanitation procedures for sanitation associates.Follow Lean Manufacturing Processes; team building, consistency in high quality, preventative maintenance, good work place conditions, productive work, etc.Maintain usage, inventory, and communicate the proper chemicals necessary to maintain all equipment located within facility as well as any sanitation related to the building interior and exterior.Ongoing development of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and proper equipment cleaning procedures.Assist with plant audits.Work closely with chemical and safety equipment vendors.Reroute reports and records to designated plant personnel.
