Associate degree in Health,horticulture, sustainable agriculture, natural sciences, Permaculture, youth development or related field

Current Driver's License and insurable

[Summary of Duties:]{inherit=""}Provide instruction to students through various delivery methods, including classroom/laboratory instruction, and learning community activities.Teach a maximum of six (6) Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems courses per academic year (fall/spring).Monitor and report student attendance and academic progress in the Jenzabar system on a weekly basis throughout each semester. Provide student academic advising, registration and early alert system.Supervise the development and maintenance of campus gardens, fruit orchard, hoop house and existing and potential projects.Determine plant growing conditions, such as greenhouses, hydroponics, or natural settings, and set planting and care schedules.Select and purchase seeds, plant nutrients, and other garden and lawn care equipment.Position and regulate plant irrigation systems, and program environmental and irrigation control computers.Contribute to the process of planting or transplanting seeds, bulbs, and cuttings. and maintenance of saplings, shrubs, flowers, and plants on campus.Collaborate on the construction of garden and greenhouse structures and accessories.Supervise UTTC student interns to participate in activities such as gardening, harvesting, tree pruning and weed control.Develop and conduct agroecology educational activities and presentations for the UTTC community.Serve as point of contact for Winter Market and coordinate planning efforts with other Land Grant staff.[]{style="li"}
