Compile and write computer programs to handle specific applications towards the goals of NPL; documenting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program; testing to achieve the desired outcomes; performing revisions and expansion of applications to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements; consulting with end-user to clarify intent, identify problems, and troubleshoot problems.Assists in the development and implementation of other IT projects; provides unique data and reports as requested by users.Acts as a liaison between NPL and its clients proving assistance and expertise in establishing computer connections and interfaces at client sites; resolving problems and addressing complaints.Provides team leadership by addressing questions, exchanging ideas, evaluating complex situations and suggesting solutions and/or jointly arriving at decisions in a positive and timely manner.Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards including CLIAA, CAP, and HIPAA.Observes established safety guidelines and maintains cleanliness of the laboratory.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Meets established deadlines for competency, projects and policy and procedure reviews.
