Attains completion of department goals/objectives as identified at last performance appraisal
Completes HealthStream FWA training and Methcheck training on an annual basis as required for Medicare Part B and Medicare Part D.
Actively participates in retail pharmacy operations.
Maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of operations.
Handles monies in accordance with good accounting and department policies and procedures.
Manages all aspects of cash register.
Assists patients and staff as required by patient waiting times.
Proactively anticipates and responds appropriately to changes in workload.
Customer service in Community Pharmacy. Provide first line of support at Point-of-Sale system in assisting customers in receiving medication and processing payments.
Preparing and maintaining records relating to Community Pharmacy mail outs and deliveries.
Conduct retrospective quality control on Rx delivery tickets and mail out processes.
Answering telephones, forwarding calls, taking messages, assisting customers, stocking shelves, operating cash registers, cleaning work areas and sterilizing containers.
Order medications, organize supplies and label drugs as well. Pharmacy clerks also might work directly with patient data and complete tasks such as preparing insurance forms, prescription filing, and maintaining patient profiles.

QualificationsHigh School Diploma or currently in pursuit of a High School Diploma or GED.Professional courteous telephone techniques and organizational skills. Relates well with staff, customers, and health care professionals. Tact necessary in dealing with difficult customers.
