Contributes to writing production model building code. Work closely with product management and engineering to deliver products which solves the needs of our customers by building relevant, innovative results which strategically differentiates Oracle in the market. Set up environment needed to run experiments for all projects. Set up distributed environments. Directly impact our customers via innovation in products and services that make use of ML/AI technology. Works on training data collection, feature engineering, model training, offline and online experimentation. Does independent research and development. Advance the state-of-the-art machine learning and algorithms for real-world large-scale applications. Ensure solutions are designed with fairness and explainability in mind. May perform other duties as assigned.
Is experienced with Machine Learning and Deep Learning models and frameworks
Has background on speech processing (speech recognition, speaker verification/identification, keyword spotting, diarization) and/or neural language modeling and/or big data management and curation
Has strong programming skills in Python. Java is beneficial, but not required.
Has 3+ years of professional development
Is able to experiment and evaluate state of the art systems from both academia and industry
Possesses excellent communication skills with an ability to explain and write specifications that embody complex concepts to stakeholders within the team
Is able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and can quickly adjust to changing priorities
Works in a detail-oriented manner, with a focus on quality of the product, data, and code
Is fluent in spoken/read/written English.An exposure to medical/health use cases is a plus.A Masters degree in computer science on natural language processing or speech processing is preferred but not a must.A publication record is a plus.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
