Weidner Apartment Homes is searching for a Regional Boiler Technician. The Regional Boiler Technician will travel throughout the Anchorage area and to Juneau if necessary to evaluate and fix any issues/problems the boilers are experiencing. The Boiler Technician will also train our Service Managers, Service Technicians and Community Directors on a quarterly basis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Primary responsibility is boiler oversight for region
Evaluate boilers and boiler systems by property
Maintain inventory of current equipment, track and update annually
Create and execute boiler management plan, and preventive maintenance program to prolong the life and efficiency of existing units
Lead the region in cost reduction and expense control for boilers
Assist on-site staff with boiler/system issues
Oversee routine maintenance of boiler systems throughout the region
Train Service Managers, Service Technicians and Community Directors on a quarterly basis
Qualifications:
5 years minimum full-time experience with boiler systems, licensed, contract plumber a plus
3 years minimum experience with condensation boiler installation and service
Knowledge of electrical and plumbing, HVAC certification
Provide a full set of general tools
Able to lift and carry up to 80lbs and push/pull up to 200lbs
Must have reliable transportation, valid and current driver's license, proof of insurance
Good communication skills; be detail oriented and well organized
Knowledge of energy devices to include but not limited to Techmar, Honeywell and Robert Shaw
Available to work flexible days/hours
Agree to criminal background, credit check and sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
