Summary - Receives, stores and prepares products for shipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Prior to pulling product, review all paperwork to ensure that the product being pulled matches the documentation.
Verify that stock to be pulled will fit on the assigned truck. If the load cannot be condensed to fit on the truck, contact your supervisor.
Keep bills of lading in the original routed order.
Immediately report any quantity or product quality discrepancies of items being pulled to Supervisor.
Stage finished orders in designated staging area inside the main warehouse.
Stage all corrosive liquids in designated area of main warehouse.
Verify and carry out any special handling instructions noted on paperwork.
Record lot numbers for all products being shipped on the bill(s) of lading.
Load all vehicles as needed.
Perform all will-calls requested by the shipping clerk in a timely manner.
Prior to receiving any product; review bill(s) of lading, packing list(s) and purchase order(s) to confirm load belongs to Brenntag.
Compare product numbers and quantity with product being received on bills of lading, invoices or other records to ensure to insure accuracy of transaction for inventory control.
Inspect the load for any damage. Note damage on purchase order and carrier's bill(s) of lading.
Report any damaged material to your Supervisor before accepting product.
Sign bill(s) of lading and purchase order(s) to verify completion of receiving.
Properly label and place all products in the appropriate staging area until confirmed and
initialed by a Supervisor.
Return all completed paperwork to the warehouse office.
Prepare and pull all "same day" deliveries as requested.
Complete Forklift Inspection and Load Inspection Reports daily. Return completed reports to the warehouse office.
Represent Brenntag Pacific in a professional manner.
Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the facility.
Observe, follow and enforce all Brenntag Policies and Procedures.
Attend all required training when scheduled unless absent from work.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Ability to read, write and speak the English language. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.
Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Forklift certification required.
Must meet PFT requirements to wear a respirator. Cannot have any facial hair that may interfere with a respirator.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
