17677BRPosting Title:Sales and Development ManagerJob Posting:CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division . We are looking for a Sales Manager for our CHS - Southwest Grain business unit based in Dickinson, ND. You will plan and direct the sales and marketing of the agronomy, grain, energy and feed products and services offered by the business unit to area producers. You must have an understanding of finance/budgeting, strategic planning, and business process controls as well as possess excellent communication, public relations and organizational skills. You must be able to make decisions and lead, motivate and develop talent.You will:

Identify areas of strategic opportunity and formulate and execute the sales strategy and business plan for a multi-million-dollar, multi-state business unit.

Maintain and grow profitable agronomy, grain, energy and feed business by leveraging CHS’s portfolio of products and services.

Analyze market share growth opportunities. Monitor and ensure achievement of account growth and market share objectives.

Create and monitor the sales team operations budget, determine the margins needed to achieve budget, and take corrective action when needed to ensure marketing objectives support the achievement of designated budgets. Identify areas to increase efficiencies and reduce cost.

Manage all sales activity for the business unit through the sales team. Define and communicate annual sales goals and drive responsibility and accountability within the sales team.

Manage recruitment of sales staff for business unit. Coach and develop sales team by designing and implementing training plans, setting sales goals, providing clear and constructive feedback, and acting as a mentor.

Oversee the sales intern program including determining intern needs for the business unit, coordinating recruitment, and providing input to intern projects, goals and performance.

Keep abreast of industry trends and changes. Identify and anticipate customer requirements, expectations and needs.

Build strong relationships and collaborate with customers, coworkers, and industry and strategic community partners.

Communicate, implement and ensure compliance with CHS and regulatory guidelines.

Champion and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Basic Qualifications: (required)

Bachelor’s degree in Sales Management, Marketing, Business Administration or agriculture related field

8 plus years of sales and progressive leadership experience.

2 plus years of supervisory experience

Experience working with multiple remote offices and employees

Proven ability to lead sales teams to increase market share.

Proficient in Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite (Dyamnics 365, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Must be able to travel frequently within business unit territory.
