PRIMARY PURPOSE : To inspect, identify, and evaluate auto vehicles involved in a loss. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Appraises and determines costs of repairs to damaged vehicle in the field; determines repair versus replace and parts utilization.

Evaluates and determines if the vehicle is repairable or salvageable based on industry standard estimating software.

Travels to inspection locations to appraise vehicles in the field.

Prepares estimates using estimating software.

Works directly with auto repair facilities to determinate supplemental repair processing and provides a supplemental estimate.Additional Job Description

Greeting Customer and Explaining the Scan Estimating and Repair Process

Triage vehicle (Photo's Upload, Damage Part, Related Paint Damage and Prior Damage

Manually inspect vehicles that do not qualify for Scanning

Assist Tech Scanner with Vehicle Scanning (Drive vehicle into scanner and return vehicle to customer)

Soft sell repair process and explain the program benefits

Off-season requirement support local appraiser coverage, desk review and quality assurance team ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel up to 75% as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing High school diploma or GED required. Licenses as required by state guidelines. Experience Three (3) years of related experience to include at least one (1) year of appraisal experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge of automobiles

Ability to understand and utilize appraisal software

PC literate, including Microsoft Office products

Strong organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent negotiating skills

Ability to work in a team environment
