The Intern will be responsible for assisting with document management. This may include organizing employee records both in paper and digital format, scanning records to OnBase and indexing the documents. The intern will also assist in completing process assisting the injury management team. The Intern will primarily focus on OnBase scanning and indexing records. Records are considered confidential. The Intern will primarily focus on OnBase scanning and indexing records- records are considered confidential. The Intern will also provide data entry assistance as well as data cleanup. The Intern will report to the Enterprise Injury Management Manager and work side by side with the Fargo Nurse Case Manager and Data Analyst. The intern may attend meetings as deemed appropriate by both the intern and the Manager such as Infection Prevention, Employee Safety meetings, Environment of Care meetings, and claims reviews. Organizing paper records, scanning and indexing that document in OnBase. Coordinate document retrieval via Virtual Print and index those documents to OnBase. Data entry, project management, data analysis. Good organization skills, ability to maintain focus with frequent interruptions. Must be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Healthcare administration, Human Resources, Public Health, other healthcare fields or an immediate graduate having received one of the previously listed majors. Also could be a Business Analyst. Must be able to commit to the hours scheduled during the 12-week internship. Strong communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. This is a paid internship experience and student(s) that are accepted will be expected to comply with all Sanford policies and procedures. The intern must commit to the hours scheduled during the 12-week internship.Work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates an ability to meet own responsibilities. Collaborates with departmental associates and management.QUALIFICATIONSCurrent enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred.
