[Spherion Staffing is interviewing accounting candidates for a Finance Manager role.
[The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards, overseeing the accounting team, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and improving accounting processes.[Salary $75-85k DOE[Responsibilities:
[-Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
[-Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
[-Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders
[-Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
[-Maintain and update accounting records, files and general ledger records
[-Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
-Prepare monthly financial reports in accordance with GAAP
-Prepare and Analyze budgets and results
-Manage banking relationships
-Reconcile multiple bank statements, domestic and international
-Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger
-Examine tax policies and interact with the outside tax firm
-Prepare commission reports for review
-Prepare sales and use tax returns for US and Canada
-Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable as needed
-Assist with collection of accounts as needed
-Ensure accurate product costs are set by other departments
-Provide backup Payroll processing as needed
-Acts as the Corporate Secretary/TreasurerRequirements:
-Bachelors or masters degree in accounting, Finance or related field
[-7+ years experience in business finance
[-Experience with Microsoft office suite[ and Microsoft Dynamics
[-Background in Sales and Use tax is useful
[-Understanding of state, federal and international financial regulations
