If the kitchen is your domain and you love serving others, then the Good Samaritan Society offers the opportunity to use your experience in a challenging but exciting position as a Senior Living Cook.Your contribution to the team:
Provide necessary dietary services in a caring, safe and efficient manner; perform according to location standards and procedures.
Help residents with meals and promote a positive dining experience.
Keep a watchful eye over resident's dietary health.
Provides assistance with wellness or recreational programs and encouraging residents to participate.
Adheres to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following aseptic cleaning techniques, including those that apply to blood borne pathogens.
Assist in housekeeping and laundry as needed.
This position is part-time working between the hours of 9:25am - 6:00pm / 3 days per week. You're a good fit if: You have a good work ethic, are a team player and have a compassionate nature. You should also know your way around a kitchen and be competent with general cooking practices, including food safety and proper measuring, cooking temperatures and contamination prevention.

What you'll do: A typical day includes working as part of a team to prepare and serve meals and snacks for residents, and assure the residents always have tasty food, great dining options and an excellent overall experience. You'll also help with dining and kitchen cleanup, safety monitoring, and sanitary practices.
