Description We are looking to bring aboard a Staff Accountant in Fargo, North Dakota. The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of the accounting department, focusing on operational financial activities, ensuring the accuracy of transactional financial data, providing insights into ongoing operations, and assisting in strategic decision-making.Responsibilities: Administer vendor bonus programs, tracking performance metrics and overseeing the accurate accrual of bonuses for eligible sales. Work closely with individual stores to gather operational financial data, provide support as needed, maintain subledgers, and offer operational financial insights to help drive business growth. Prepare and post journal entries for financial closing processes, ensuring accurate accounting records and compliance with reporting requirements. Process sales transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures, including margin analysis, and providing valuable insights for optimizing profitability. Collaborate with senior leaders to provide operational financial insights and contribute to strategic decision-making. Calculate sales commissions, ensuring accuracy and timely commission payouts. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of operational financial operations. Utilize modern accounting software and tools to streamline processes, drive efficiencies and continuously improve operational financial operations. Collaborate on special projects, leveraging financial expertise to contribute to the successful completion of initiatives beyond routine operational tasks. Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar position Proficiency in bank reconciliations is required Ability to maintain and manage the general ledger is essential Experience in creating and managing journal entries is necessary Demonstrated ability to handle month-end close procedures Proficient in using NetSuite for accounting tasks Knowledge of Oracle is beneficial Experience with QuickBooks is a plus Familiarity with SAP is desirable Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
