Patient Care Coordinator Responsibilities
Manage incoming phone calls and deliver and return messages
Perform account management, including patient registration using practice management software and all steps necessary to create a patient record
Review and maintain patient accounts accurately
Understand the purpose of all clinic forms as they relate to patient care (i.e., patient records, financial forms, and insurance contracts)
Understand and implement patient flow processes, including registration process
Perform patient management, including check in and check out procedures; assisting other departments as needed
Coordinate insurance plan benefits with patient treatment
Perform daily deposit and reporting
Patient Care Coordinator Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent
Dental or insurance experience strongly preferred
Previous customer service experience strongly preferred
Patient Care Coordinator Desired Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Overall knowledge and understanding of dental terminology a plus
Candidates with prior phone-service/customer service experience encouraged to apply
Training & Continuing Education
Hagen Dental believes that to remain at the forefront of dentistry, learning should continue throughout your entire career. We encourage continued learning through offering paid courses and education for work-related courses, subject to management approval.
Hours
Patient contact hours are 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Thursday. Our day starts at 6:30am with a daily team meeting at 6:40am. Our day ends approximately 30 minutes after the last patient for the day.
