Sick N Twisted Brewing Company is expanding and looking for an experienced brewer to join our team.
A little bit about us. Founded in 2012, Sick N Twisted Brewing Company has been providing specialty craft beers for public consumption ever since. Our brews are handcrafted in the scenic Heart of the Hills, Hill City, SD. With tasting room locations in Hill City & Deadwood, SD. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life and enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, motorcycles and amazing scenery, look no further. You'll find eighteen types of beer at our craft brewery, from hoppy and bitter to light and sweet. We brew over 30 different beers and distribute 15 styles. Our brewing company relies heavily on our brewer, to constantly experiment with new flavors, combinations and blends. We are building a lineage of award winning family crafted ales one brew at a time and want you to join our team of dedicated beer enthusiasts.
A little bit about the position. We are looking for a brewer to join our team. The right candidate will have a passion for great beer and will not be afraid to try something new. A formal brewing education is preferred or 2- 3 years of experience.
Our ideal brewer will:
Oversee and operate a 20bbl brewery with canning line, including all maintenance and upkeep, managing production and packaging schedules
Have extensive knowledge of industry compliance standards: including but not limited to OSHA and TTB requirements
Be able to operate a broom and floor squeegee efficiently!
Work with the owners on future recipe development and brand growth
Able to perform physical labor, heavy lifting of 75lbs + is a necessary part of the job, able to stand for very long periods of time
Have a flexible work schedule, this won't be a 9-5 position
Have excellent communication skills and competent with MS Office and google docs
Be willing to perform all tasks involved in the packaging process, including washing and filling kegs
Be familiar with the purchasing of raw materials and yeast management and propagation
Be willing to relocate to Hill City, South Dakota or the surrounding communities
Be detail oriented when it comes to record keeping, inventory tracking, yield and loss summaries, cost records, with the controller to keep expenses to a minimum
Be able to operate a forklift
Be able to assist in brewery marketing and off-site trade events and festivals
