Build and strengthen customer relationships by promoting vendor products and Graybar services to maximize sales and gross margin.Responsibilities
Develop and maintain counter area through effective inventory management and strategic product placement.
Ensure excellent customer service.
Achieve market penetration to meet district objectives.
Establish training plans for all employees with regular follow up
Schedule, plan, and implement promotional activities with suppliers.Minimum Job Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience required in sales, operations, service, management, or finance, 5 years is preferred.
Four year college degree preferred in: Business, Management, administration or finance. Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.
Knowledge
Knowledge sales, financial, and service functions
Knowledge of Graybar's vertical customer markets
Knowledge of branch stock and non-stock products
Knowledge of our preferred computer systems, related applications, and reporting methodsincluding: SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Distribution industry preferred
Knowledge of Electrical and Comm-Data industries preferred
Abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
Ability to manage, motivate, and influence others to achieve the branch's established objectives
Ability to interface with all levels of both external (customers and suppliers) and internal (employees and management) customersWorking Conditions
