We are looking for a candidate who exemplifies these qualities and has a passion for serving our great state in the role ofEmployment Advisor.Summary of WorkThe role of this position is to provide customers with a supportive and assistive environment in identifying service needs and informing them of available services. Duties will include greeting customers in person and on the phone, assessing their employment needs, provide resume and interview skills assistance, Labor Market Information, and directing clients to services available within Job Service and the local community. Assist and guide customers in using jobsnd.com and other related online services. Assist clients with resume development, cover letters, and interview preparation. Will provide administrative service functions including, but not limited to, data entry and processing incoming/outgoing mail. Assist customers in filing their unemployment insurance claim. Must be able to provide excellent customer service to all Job Service customers. Much of the work in this position involves assisting and instructing customers how to navigate JSND computer services and websites to maximize their ability to seek and obtain work.Minimum QualificationsTo be considered for this position, you must have the following experience/education combination:

a high school diploma or equivalentand

at least four years of related work

Related work experience typically includes performing administrative, customer, or employment services, receiving and analyzing information, determining available solution(s).Related college-level course work may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.Preferred QualificationsEmployment Advisors possess a diverse set of skills to effectively support job seekers in their career development and job search efforts.
