We are seeking a dedicated professional to assist job seekers in our local office and provide vital support through our New American Employment Program (NAEP).This role will cover the responsibilities of the Resource Room, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for customers, helping them identify needs and connect with available services. Responsibilities include assessing employment needs, offering resume and interview preparation assistance, and providing guidance on Labor Market Information and local resources. Youll also assist customers with navigating jobsnd.com, developing resumes and cover letters, and filing unemployment insurance claims, alongside performing administrative tasks like data entry and mail processing.As part of the NAEP, youll work closely with the North Dakota Office of Refugee Services to provide tailored case management and guidance to refugees. This includes personalized consultations to assess skills, interests, and career goals; developing action plans; and connecting clients to training, education, or certification opportunities that set them up for success in the workforce.Additionally, you will build strong relationships within the community by participating in job fairs, delivering presentations, and collaborating with employers, chambers of commerce, economic development associations, refugee organizations, and workforce programs.Join us and be a vital part of supporting individuals on their journey to meaningful employment.Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have the following experience/education combination:a high school diploma or equivalent and
at least four years of related work
Related work experience typically includes performing administrative, customer, or employment services, receiving and analyzing information, determining available solution(s).Related college-level course work may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in a second language is advantageous for this role, as it involves frequent interaction with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Preference will be given to applicants who have outstanding written/verbal communication skills and excellent proven customer service, public speaking/group presentation, problem solving, listening, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Previous work experience in refugee services is preferred.About Team ND
