POSITION SUMMARYThe Operations Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of organizational data within the Salesforce | ascend platform. This position plays a pivotal part in executing data quality management tasks, coordinating data cleanup efforts, and supporting the organizations broader data needs. Creativity and the ability to explore innovative approaches to solve data-related challenges are essential. The Operations Data Specialist collaborates closely with various stakeholders to ensure data integrity, usability, and alignment with organizational goals.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSData Integrity Management1.Perform regular audits of database records to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, or errors.2.Collaborate with the Director of Data and Process Optimization to implement and adhere to data standards, policies, and procedures.3.Proactively identify and address data quality issues to enhance the overall reliability of organizational information.4.Document data cleanup initiatives, including methods, progress, and results.Data Entry and Updates1.Coordinate and execute data imports from external sources, ensuring alignment with organizational data standards.2.Process updates to alumni and donor records promptly and accurately, including changes to contact details, giving history, and engagement activities.3.Partner with campus teams and internal departments to gather and input necessary data into the CRM system.Data Reporting and Innovation1.Work with the Business intelligence Developer to generate reports to support organizational goals and decision-making processes.2.Collaborate with internal teams to provide actionable insights from data.3.Leverage creative problem-solving skills to address complex data challenges and enhance workflow efficiency.Collaboration and Relationship Building1.Work with Operations team members to continuously improve data management processes.2.Build strong relationships with campus partners and internal teams to promote data sharing and consistency.3.Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to data processes and best practices.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelors degree in business or a related field is preferred, but not required; equivalentwork experience will be considered.Experience: Successful candidates should have demonstrated experience working with data, with familiarity in using data tools and reporting software being a strong advantage. Experience in nonprofit, higher education, or comparable environments is desirable but not mandatory.PHYSICAL and COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTSAbility to operate computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
