Part-Time Cook's Helper position to work 24 hours per week,every other weekend, and rotating holidays.Job Description:
Performs all Dietary Helper duties following Federal/State regulation guidelines. Diets and nourishments are served as prescribed. Menus are followed as established by the Licensed Dietitian. The Dietary Helper consults with the Cook, the Dietary Supervisor, and the Dietary Director to ensure the resident receives the proper nutrition.
Ensures proper food and liquid temperatures are attained and documented. Perform duties of food storage and handling, labeling, and dating items as required and checking for and disposing of outdated foods. Does general cleaning, including kitchen and dining rooms, and processes dishes, attaining and documenting proper water temperatures for dishwasher; cleans and sanitizes work areas, counters, refrigerators, and cupboards; disposes of garbage in the facility dumpsters making sure dumpster lids are closed; and sanitizes garbage containers in the dietary department. Restocks items needed for next meal service.
Performs safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment. This includes understanding and following the procedures in relation to emergency and evacuation, wandering residents, fire, severe weather, universal precautions, and safe operation of any equipment used.
Performs Quality Assurance checks for regulatory and corporate compliance programs.
