Apply now and be part of the team that’s redefining aerospace, every day.Role OverviewThis position is for a seasoned Structural Engineering professional, working independently. Resolves design problems of moderate scope to ensure a high quality product. Identifies design deficiencies and recommends revisions, and performs complex structural engineering analysis.Primary Responsibilities:

Works within a team of structural analysis engineers in support of new product development and certification.

Performs difficult to complex structural analysis independently utilizing classical hand analysis and finite element analysis methods to demonstrate structural integrity of cargo handling system products.

Supports the generation of component applied loads and aircraft interface loads.

Reviews structural analysis documentation in support of product certification.

Helps in the mentoring and development of junior structural analysis engineers.

Supports structural testing for product certification.

Supports the establishing of structural specifications, conducting of performance tests, and planning or conducting of experimental, environmental, operational, or stress tests on models or prototypes of systems or equipment to ensure quality and performance standards are met.

Coordinates with cross-functional engineering groups (i.e. design, test, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure structural analysis requirements are met during product development.

Core competencies:

Strong understanding of core engineering concepts such as material properties, changes and priority shifts.

Structural loading and analysis, and demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with aerospace regulatory documents and processes.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize both daily issues and longer-term projects.

Experienced with Microsoft Office suite of tools.

Adaptability to adjust to business

Strong teamwork skills to facilitate inclusion and leverage diversity for success.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

This position is not visa sponsorship eligible, Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or current U.S. Green Card holder.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with major airframe and/or aircraft on-board cargo systems

In-depth understanding of FAA structural certification requirements for commercial aerospace products.

Finite Element Analysis experience (ANSYS preferred)

Computer Aided Design (CAD) program experience
