The focus will be performing analysis of building materials for use in construction. The engineer designs load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings, equipment supports and foundations. Performs structural analysis of new and existing structured for both gravity and lateral (wind and seismic) load conditions. Prepares structural calculations, reports and details of structural elements that conform to client, regulatory, and industry standards. Tasks will include utilizing computer aided drafting and a variety of engineering software.Core Responsibilities  Responsible for basic lay out structural systems in conformance with code requirements and in coordination with other design disciplines. The Engineer conducts basic field investigations to integrate the design with existing systems and structures. Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead. Coordinating with multiple disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).
