Performs Xrays and CT imaging on inpatient and outpatient per request by provider.
Process Xray images on the CR; unless using the Digital Portable machine.
Proficient at entering paper orders into EPIC.
Proficient at registration when registration is not available.
Share on call duties with other Radiology Technologists.
Perform EKG.
Assists in QA studies for Xray and CT.
Responsible for inventory and filling out purchase orders that must be signed by the
Radiology Manager (Supervisor).
Perform other duties as requested by Radiology Manager (Supervisor).
Maintain confidentiality.
Under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level
not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Assumes responsibility forspecified radiographic procedures and computed tomography exams.Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Perform high quality imaging procedures in both Xray and CT. Evaluates Xray images
and scans for technical quality. Demonstrates proficiency and accuracy in performanceof all exam protocols.
Obtain radiographs and CT images of various body parts; having knowledge of patient
positioning for all exams.
Evaluates imaging orders for contrast use. Have proper knowledge of how and when
contrast material will be administered, operate power injector for contrast administration,and dispense oral contrast, proficient in IV placement for contrast.
Works to ensure quality patient care standards and radiation safety practices are met.
Maintains accurate patient records for all procedures performed, maintaining patient
confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA standards.
Monitors assigned inventory expiration dates and levels. Make sure the CT room is
properly stocked. Maintains a clean, neat work area with proper disinfectants.
Proficiently performs EKG.
Share on call duties with the other Radiology Technologist.
Performs routine maintenance checks to ensure proper equipment operation.
Assists the Radiology Manager (Supervisor) with gathering QA data and make
suggestions for future QA indicators.Qualifications
Requires ARRT certification in RT
Requires a current ND State License
