ResponsibilitiesLeads large projects or processes of complex scope, with limited oversight from managerCoaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionalsPrepare, process, and maintain assigned payroll groupEnsure accuracy of payroll resultsPrepare and analyze payroll reports to be distributed to leadershipCollaborate regularly with colleagues from Compliance, Legal, and external providers as necessary to ensure adherence to applicable local, state/provincial, and federal requirementsServe as knowledge expert of payroll processes and systemsIdentifies continuous improvement/automation activities and makes frequent recommendations based on detailed analyses and applying results to drive improvementsAdapts precedent and may holistically change standard operating procedures to develop new solutionsSupports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholdersOther duties as assignedBachelor's degree with 3 years of experience; or requires a minimum of 8 years of payroll related experienceAdvanced Excel skills: Vlookups, pivot tables, formulasStrong analytical skills and ability to develop new skills quicklyAdapting and thriving in a constantly changing environmentPreferred not required: SAP/Workday/Dayforce/Service Now experienceWorks well independently or within a teamExperienced leader within team and primary owner of payroll process for area of responsibility. Work focused on designing and ensuring compliance with all the following payroll processes including, but not limited to calculating gross and net pay amounts, records maintenance and reconciliation of payroll records. Monitor and manage payroll legislation compliance. Answering questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.
