High end northeast ohio restaurant seeks experienced, driven and ambitious cook/chef to assume leadership of a successful and growing establishment.
We are looking for a cook/chef who has significant experience working in "from scratch" kitchens rather than in "corporate" institutions. Our ideal candidate would have a degree from a formal culinary school and would have experience working with a variety of talented culinary professionals in the industry. To be successful here, you must enjoy leading by example.
Expectations:
- Create recipes, dishes, menus, prep lists and systems whereby you will lead and orchestrate a team of five to seven staff to include a pastry chef and dishwasher during four nights of service.
- Supervise the kitchen to ensure the flawless execution of dishes, the cleanliness of the kitchen and the good order and discipline of your staff.
- Work in close conjunction with the owner and front of the house - to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of product to between 70 to 100 customers each evening.
Although you may not begin by being able to assume the entirety of the outlined requirements, you will be expected to increase in your responsibilities as you gain in skill and experience. Your compensation will be directly linked to your performance as well as the success of the restaurant.
Starting Salary is 52k+ / year - based upon your experience and abilities.
