We just moved to Louisville and are looking for occasional coverage for my cousin, who has been a quadriplegic for 5 years. He works for the hospital, where he went for his spinal cord injury rehab. He's also just completed a fellowship at Praxis the spinal cord Institute last month and is excited to put the experience to use to affect the med tech space for those living with spinal cord injury.
We're looking for someone interested in covering twice per month, and we have seven or eight dates already established that we're looking to fill. We cover the application process and all duties of the job. If you don't have a good work ethic, attention to detail, or take ownership of your duties, we are not a good fit. Communication and open dialogue are of utmost importance. Whoever we hire shouldn't be allergic to medical marijuana.
Even though Jacob is a quadriplegic, we require someone who is okay with him directing his own care from start to finish. His training through MetroHealth rehab ensures he is the most involved in his care. He does not suffer from developmental disorders and is perfectly cognizant to direct every aspect of what he would do for himself if he could. Please do not apply if you do not feel comfortable with the patient directing his own care.
We've met many people working in the healthcare industry over the last few years, whether it be hospitals or nursing homes who are overworked and underpaid with little appreciation and an excess of stress in the environment. We're hoping to find someone who values a peaceful setting with just one client in Louisville, OH. The needs are far and few between now, but once we become familiar with someone, there's the opportunity to even do a more long-term contract if it seems like a good fit.
