We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on auto body repair. This role requires proficiency in using various tools and equipment to restore vehicles to their original condition while ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.
Duties
- Perform high-quality auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various repair tasks.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks to identify any additional issues that may need addressing.
- Weld and solder components as necessary to ensure structural integrity of repairs.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and priming, using airless paint spraying techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs needed and provide updates on vehicle status.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto body repair or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and airless paint spraying systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive repair are a plus.
