Painter
This position requires a self-motivated individual with a combination of technical ability and understanding, as well as a commitment to working in an industrial environment that requires physical activity, team-work mentality, and an ability to adapt quickly to changes in shop priorities.
Equipment Overview:
o Working with Airless and Conventional paint pots.
o Sandblast pot/hopper.
Technical requirements of this position:
o Understanding of basics of sandblasting/painting requirements for industrial applications.
o Read and understand paint manufacturers recommendations, along with shop drawings to determine best preparation methods and paint applications.
o Complete required Gaspar specific forms to be filled out for each project including temperature, humidity and DFT gauge.
o Maintain all Gaspar equipment used for blasting/painting. communication with Gaspar maintenance staff is essential to ensuring equipment is operating properly.
o Organization of paint department, tools equipment, etc…
o Track and document stock paint, sand, PPE, consumables, etc…
o Time management and planning by working with supervisors to prepare for upcoming projects.
o Willing to be cross trained in different departments.
o Maintain safe work environment along with safe work habits.
o Training will be available to qualified candidate for this position.

o The job will require extended periods of standing, climbing ladders, some heavy lifting and the use of safety equipment as needed.
