Small Drainage Company seeking FT Salesperson/Assistant with special skills (see below)
Job Description - Position will start off as an Assistant to the Owner and evolve with training into also doing Sales. A great job for someone who has owned a masonry or other construction business who is looking for a change to a less physical, more mental job. Duties include but not limited to: all around assistant, conduct initial free consults and follow up with drainage system design/planning with customers, keep accurate notes and transfer them into customer files on client management system, coordinate with Office, Field and Sales Manager, follow up with customers via phone and email, create and send simple, detailed quotes and drawings, communicate details about customer jobs to other team members, learn drainage technical information, be flexible and open-minded to changes within a small, cutting edge, growing drainage company.
Job Requirements: Must have 5 years+ experience in construction and some sales experience; must have good references. Only local applicants will be considered. Must have a reliable vehicle that you are willing to use for customer consults, valid driver's license and good driving record. Our service areas are within 40 miles of the North Canton area.
Must be professional, thorough and detail oriented, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a good listener, sharp, friendly, have a positive team attitude, enjoy working with the public, a savvy salesperson who knows how to read their customer and is able to think creatively on the spot. Must be somewhat flexible, schedule may vary including an occasional Sat., must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and some Powerpoint and be able to quickly learn new computer skills. Some basic drawing/drafting skills required for rough sketching our drainage plans.
