Our manufacturing client located in Canton, OH has an immediate hiring need for a Fleet Technician/Diesel Mechanic.
This position will be responsible for Diagnostics, Repairs, and Maintenance of company trucks, tractors and tankers:
o Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy-duty spray trucks, tractor equipment, and bulk liquid tankers.
o Troubleshoot and repair common truck issues, as well as spray truck-specific problems, including electrical systems, hydraulic and
mechanical components, pumps, plumbing, and spray control systems.
o Verify vehicle performance through test drives, adjustments to controls and systems, and system checks.
o Adhere to scheduled maintenance plans, assist with preventative maintenance tasks, and maintain accurate service records using
electronic software for DOT-inspected equipment.
Licensure/Certifications
A valid driver’s license
Class A CDL is a plus
Tanker endorsement is a plus
Skills/Experience
Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
Experience with welding, cutting, and fabrication processes to meet basic build specifications
Time management and organization skills to stay on task and priority
At least 2 years’ experience in Diesel Mechanic capacity
