Aquila Corporation is hiring full-time Traveling Fiber Technicians to go to various jobs throughout the US as needed for FTTH, FTTX. We already have splicing operations in OH, MI, IN, IL, and we’re looking for splicers with basic knowledge who can help us expand to states like Arizona, Nevada, and Kansas.
If you work a reasonable distance from home, you are able to take your splicing van home every weekend. Gas and food are paid for by the company. We will put you in an Airbnb house less that 1 hour from the market you’ll work in.
2+ years experience preferred but not required. If you can splice fast, we will teach you the rest. The ideal candidate can be away from home for weeks if needed. Once aboard, you will be expected to;
- Interpret blueprints and splice documents to find and complete daily assignments sent out by managers via email
- Troubleshoot as needed with equipment like OTDR and power meter
- Coordinate with other splicers and cable placement crews to ensure projects get completed properly on time and under budget
