Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Fitter/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding metal and pipe according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
Fit and assemble pressure pipe and components using hand and power tools
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on various metals including steel and stainless steel
Inspect welds and finished products for quality and conformance to specifications
Operate cutting, grinding, and finishing equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, squares)
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
AWS Certification or equivalent
