We need drivers in the Ashtabula area! Our company, Bones Transportation Inc., has a small fleet of 14 company trucks that pull 40' frameless end dumps throughout approximately 30 states (mostly midwest). We are located in Ottawa, Kansas, but we have freight in the Ashtabula area that allows drivers to be home weekends. Drivers don't have to have end dump experience because we can train. We are looking to fill two T660 2016 model Kenworths that are glider kits with 550 Cat engines and 18-speed transmissions. The trucks are also equipped with APUs.
We pay 24% of the truck's gross earnings for new drivers, which equates to an average weekly gross payroll between $1,100 and $1,200. After a year, the pay percentage increases to 25%. We have health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield that is available to drivers after the first 60 days of employment. We also have paid vacation time, a $125/month safety bonus, a monthly fuel discount bonus and we offer a per diem as well as a 401K.
We recently added a new benefit to our drivers. We are now offering free cell phone plans and new phones (either IPhones or Androids) to our drivers. This benefit is completely free. If you have multiple cell phones on your plan, you can add those phones to your plan at a cost of $10.38/week. Any additional lines that are added will also receive new phones. We really appreciate our drivers and wanted to offer them something different as a benefit.
We realize driving jobs are easy to come by and, as a driver, you have many choices available to you. We also know that drivers can make more money at some other companies. What we offer is a job where you are treated with decency and honesty. We know many drivers have families and we try hard to work around the different schedules and appointments that they may have.
We operate out of one terminal where everyone in our small operation is available to drivers at any time. We are a third-generation, family-owned and operated company that has been in business since the early 1960's, when my Dad started the company. I work with one of my sisters, one of my brothers, one nephew, one niece and my daughter.
