CNC Machinist (2nd shift) SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE The OpportunityThe Machinist performs routine assignment planning, layout, set-up, operating and making tooling adjustments for various types of CNC equipment. Machinists work from and must be able to interpret blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks. Machinists may communicate directly with Engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. Manufacturing and inspecting detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment such as horizontal mills, lathes, and twin spindle-twin turret lathes.
Perform mathematical and geometrical calculations.
Set up machines based on instructions received and perform a first piece inspection with relevant inspection equipment (micrometers, comparators, calipers, etc)
Daily Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
Keeping work area clean and free from safety hazards. Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.
Proving out new CNC programs when required
Your Expertise:
6+ years of experience in a CNC Machinist role using equipment like vertical or horizontal machining centers and/or CNC Lathes.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Ability to demonstration a can-do attitude and work with others in team.
Attention to detail to thoroughly follow work instructions, standard work and department procedures.
Self-motivated individuals that work with integrity.
Safety mindset to minimize risk to themselves and others.
Willingness to learn and solve problems from within the business.
Lifting, pushing, pulling 50 lbs; Standing and Sitting.
Ability to read an interpret blueprints, GD&T, sketches, drawings.
Must be able to inspect parts using a variety of gauges.
Must be available to work OT in off-shift hours and weekends as required.
