JOB SUMMARY:An Accounting internship to learn various functions of the accounting process with a primary focus on accounts payable. Job functions will consist of checking vendor statements and approving invoices in the AvidXchange portal. Other accounts payable functions may be performed as needed.COMPETENCIES: Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.The ability and desire to perform data entry tasks timely and accurate.Attention to detail is necessary for accurate reporting.JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Previous internship or office work experience preferred. In the process of earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting is preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
