Job Title: CNC Machinist | 1st Shift | Canton | $25-$35/hrJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Canton, OH. This role involves operating, setting up, and programming CNC machines with live tooling to manufacture components. The position offers an opportunity to lead and grow the CNC machining department, working with 4-Axis mills and ProtoTrak equipment to machine various metals such as copper, brass, and stainless steel.Responsibilities
Operate, set up, and program CNC machines with live tooling to manufacture components.
Lead and grow the CNC machining department.
Run 4-Axis mills and use ProtoTrak equipment.
Machine various metals such as copper, brass, and stainless steel.
Utilize conversational programming and G&M code with CAM software.
Participate in the machine purchasing process.
Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools to check parts for tolerance.
Essential Skills
4+ years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing, preferably with vertical machining centers and mills.
Experience with 4-axis+ machines.
Proficiency in machine set-ups, programming, edits, changeovers, and tooling.
Ability to read blueprints.
Precision measuring using calipers and micrometers.
Knowledge of G&M code and conversational programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CAM software experience is a plus.
Leadership or supervisory experience to train other CNC operators is desirable.
Experience with ProtoTrak machine/program is beneficial.
Experience with purchasing new CNC equipment, particularly for turning centers, is a plus.
