Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible to manage orders to facilitate sales or production and keep track of goods and services. Inventory Clerk responsibilities will include signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand. If you are a detailed oriented inventory professional with excellent math and communication skills, this is the Inventory Clerk position for you!Your responsibilities
Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and scheduling shipment arrival times
Handling all inconsistencies in documents
Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
Keeping track of items via counting and classifying
Getting prices and estimates from vendors and then comparing costs
Various data entry tasks
Working closely with the purchasing manager and inventory analyst
Catalog and stock products to manage inventory Requirements - Excellent analytical thinking skills and mathematical capabilities
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
1+ years' experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred
Possess broad knowledge of the range of company products and services
Must be skilled at problem solving and have a good attention to detail
Must be comfortable using inventory computer programs, such as spreadsheets, to update counts and compile reports
