Aircraft Interior Cleaner

Job Purpose

Cleaning interior of cargo aircraft

Description of job

Remove trash, disinfect, and reline trash containers

Dispose of all perishable food items

Discard used coffee bags and clean coffee pot

Clean and disinfect countertops, including pull out surfaces

Clean lavatory mirror, disinfect toilet and toilet seat

Mop flight deck floors

Return all seats to the upright position and cross seat belts

Vacuum entire upper flight deck, including bunk areas and floors

Replace all pillows and blankets, dispose of old pillows and remove used blankets for cleaning

Store any extra linens in the designated storage compartments

Vacuum entire interior cargo deck

Logs and tracks all interior cleaning paperwork as required

Use a fogger machine system to disinfect the gallery, bathroom, upper, lower forward and lower back cargo area of the aircraft

Blow out the upper, lower forward and lower back cargo area when assigned by a manager

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by a manager

Essential Job Functions

Arrives to work on time to ensure prompt servicing of the aircraft and on time departures

Assist with lavatories and portable water of aircraft as needed

Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; carry objects, sit, run, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, kneel and climb steps

Drive vehicles in areas congested with aircraft, moving and stationary vehicles and equipment

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities/fast-paced environments

Flexible to work all shifts including days, evening, nights, weekends and holidays

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions

Ability to work without direct supervision

Cleaning/maintenance of the facilities and vehicles owned by the company

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Must be at least 18 years of age

Ability to proficiently speak, read, and write in English

US work authorization

Adheres to all safety and company regulations and policies

Basic computer knowledge and customer service skills required

Ability to safely lift 50 pounds

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Must be detailed oriented

Must possess a valid state Driver’s License

Able to work comfortably in close quarters

Must be able to work in various weather conditions such as rain, snow, sleet and hot/cold temperatures

Pass FAA Drug and Alcohol testing, 10-year background check and submit to random testing when required

Reliable method of transportation to arrive at work on time

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airport and Custom badge/seal
